Common view In details Print

The m.MMSC platform is a feature-rich MMS message handling center that supports all current MMS standards and recommendations

The platform's modular architecture enables the creation of a solution having a broad range of throughput.

Strict adherence to standards in the implementation of protocols assures absolute compatibility with MMS systems of other vendors and management of MMS roaming.

The platform has interfaces for service providers, e-mail servers, and external applications intended for subscribers and the operator.

m.MMSC - MMS Center - MMS Processing Platform

The m.MMSR MMS router is employed as follows:
  • a MM message sent by a subscriber is received from a WAP gateway and sent to the m.MMSS MMS server for processing;
  • the incoming MM message, received from the m.MMSS MMS server, is downloaded to the subscriber's terminal via a WAP gateway;
  • the router provides for connection of MMS centers for parallel operation;
  • the router optimizes load distribution when several MMS centers are operating in parallel.
The m.MMSS MMS server provides the following:
  • receiving and sending MM messages;
  • processing and storing MM messages;
  • sending a Push SMS to the mobile terminal via the m.PPR push message router and the m.PPG Push Gateway;
  • sending informational SMS messages to mobile terminals that do not support MMS;
  • accessing undelivered MM messages via the m.MMSlegacy WAP/WEB interface;
  • exchanging MM messages with MM roaming partners via the m.intMMSC interface module;
  • receiving and sending MM messages via e-mail using the m.emailMMSC module;
  • connecting service providers and external VAS applications (for example, the m.MMSbuilder WEB application) using the m.vaspMMSC module;
  • billing of MM messages by calling the m.Charge billing module.

The m.PPG Push Gateway generates and sends a Push SMS message and, if the MMS is not delivered or the terminal does not support SMS, informational SMS messages containing WAP/WEB links for reviewing the MMS via the m.MMSlegacy WAP/WEB interface.

The m.PPR push message router:
  • connects several m.PPG Push Gateways operating in parallel to enable the platform to operate with several SMSC;
  • optimizes load distribution among SMSC.

Platform statistics are collected and processed by the m.Stat application.

System monitoring is performed by the m.Check application.

The m.MMSender business application gives the operator the ability to send informational and promotional MM message mailings.
